I'm a registered nurse so I'm extremely respectful understanding, and compliant with the pandemic rules and recommendations.

My husband went to the bar and ordered a beer. He asked if I wanted one and I said no because I didn't want to take my mask off.

The casino was rather empty and it was easy to social distance. Only about every 3rd slot machine was open and all tables were closed.

He said we could obviously remove our masks to drink a beer and that we'd keep our distance. To be sure it was ok I asked the bartender the specific rules about removing my mask to drink the beer.

While seated at a slot machine you may remove the mask and drink the beer and keep the mask down as long as you were 6' from anyone".

I said I'd have a beer. I wasn't 7 paces from the bar having my 1st sip when a security guard dollars, "ma'am, put your mask on".

Flabergasted and embarrassed I quickly put up my mask and wait to take another sip of my beer until I'm safely seated at a slot machine. I was at least 20' from any other people.
